Laoren turned around when she heard the loud crack, smiling when she saw that Mia had managed a decapitation by fist. However, a whoosh sound behind her caused her to whip her head back around, just in time to see the offended hydra head coming at her with a slam. Without thinking about it too hard, Laoren produced the quill she'd plucked from herself earlier and jumped up as the head came at her, slamming it into the top of the serpent's face.
Although it wasn't nearly strong enough to take the head with her, it did crack into the ice significantly, causing Laoren to hang on to the hydra like in some monstrous rodeo. "Can't think, sorry! Too busy being stuck!" The icy creature flailed about a bit, trying to dislodge the human stuck to it but unable to blast itself with ice. At least it seemed much less focused than earlier. |

Mia’s head sharply turned to her companion as she heard their cries at being stuck, definitely alarmed by the fact and backing up a bit themselves with a flinch at the rather bold and brash move. Geeze was she gonna be okay? Even Mia could see the thing was distracted now but could she really go all that ham on it with the girl stuck to it?
Odds are she had to, or one of the other heads would end up outright eating her soon.
Looking around the environment, Mia spotted a few stacked items of furniture like this was ballroom or the like that wasn’t properly set out yet. Looking between it and the monster she got an idea and began to run towards it, scrambling to the top of the pile of loose furniture, lining herself up carefully on a table balanced at the top.
Rushing along the length of the long dining table, she kicked off the end like a spring board and leapt towards the two heads that didn’t have a one winged angel clinging to them. Digging her claws harshly into the icey cheek of one head, she used all her strength and momentum to slam it into the other, smashing the frozen heads in one swift motion, falling into a roll to catch herself and looking up to the last head with her companion stuck to it.
“How ya doing up there!?”

"I'm, uh, doin'!" Laoren clinged on valiantly while Mia was busy smashing heads and taking names. She was almost hurled off when the hydra swiveled around towards the draconic woman, but the blow of losing all but one of its heads seemed to have slowed down the hydra considerably.
In fact, it was almost a little too slow...
There was a cracking sound as one of the head stumps began to sprout a little more ice. Laoren looked over, groaning with surprising volume. "Augh, hydras...head comes back..." A few more were looking the same way. From Laoren's perspective, it looked like Mia was the sort who could do this all day, but Laoren herself was already pretty done with this particular trip.
Without thinking too hard about it, she plucked out one of the potions they'd been sold, empowering it with black energy. Then, with Heel wrestler-like swagger, she drank the potion and sprayed some onto the hydra's body. "Biggest boom you got! Body shot, uh, I think!" Laoren didn't actually know too much about hydra physiology besides the obvious. |

"Ah fuck I was half hopin this shitty thing was too frozen to stick to that myth!" Growling through her teeth as she watched the icey heads start to sprout back, she clenched her fists and her teeth even harder as she tried to think on how to tackle this thing, eyes darting across it over and over as she tried to look for any obvious weak point. What was this again? The curse given physical form? Yeah, this was one hell of a curse if it took the form of a fucking hydra. Probably represented some self repairing aspect of the magic, but Mia would still make sure she pounded it into the dirt. A job was a job afterall.
Even Mia was getting tired though and she was looking for a way to end this, but with Laoren's order she only thought to go along with it, giving herself some distance with a leap backwards and throwing her head back, a larger than normal magic circle forming infront of her before she blew a fireball through it. The Fireball grew rapidly as it passed through the circle, hurtling towards the Hydra with explosive force.

Laoren's eyes widened as Mia unleashed a larger-than-life fireball. Moments after, she realized that perhaps standing quite so close to the hydra while this happened was not a fantastic idea.
The fireball impacted upon the hydra with a forceful blast, the incendiary blast being amplified by the liquid coating the hydra's body. In an instant, the area was engulfed in flames, ice shards, and even steam as some of the ice went straight past melting to gassed. Through the sudden steamscreen, Mia could make out the winged silhouette of Laoren flying off towards the ceiling.
When the dust cleared, no hydra remained. Almost immediately, parts of the mansion began to crack, being sucked into the arctic winds outside. The floor slowly disintegrated into the fluffy snow that had been beneath their feet outside. Laoren, who had in fact slammed across the ceiling, flopped down into a snowdrift as the ceiling itself was blown away by the wind.
After a moment, she picked herself up from the ground. "C-c-cooooold...usually the b-boss explodes itself when it dies. This is t-the first time s-s-s-s-s-s-s-someone else did the exploding..." A thin layer of frost formed around her as the vapor from earlier condensed and froze onto her. The conical structure from before was nowhere to be seen. |

Mia hadn’t expected the amplified explosion that she was greeted with and quickly rose her own scaly arms to defend against it, the heat still blaring against even her scaled arms and wincing in response as she grit her teeth in the face of it, unable to see much of what was going on, but able to easily deduce the hydra was NOT getting out of that alive. Or undead as it’s icey case may be.
She watched as the dungeon started to fade around them, and Mia dropped an inch into the snow from before, letting out heavy, confused breaths at what the hell she’d just been through there. What even was that really? She looked to Laoren who seemed to have eaten snow, unable to resist calming down with a little chuckle as she trudged through the snow and tugged the girl to her feet.
“Okay…I’m gonna need an explanation for what the fuck we just did. Like, for starters, what was that icey tower, and why the hell is it suddenly gone?”
