|Face Claim||Touhou - Kishin Sagume as Laoren|
|Humans normally do not live for centuries and have a single, angelic wing. Whatever Laoren's race is, it does have the above properties, as well as two others: looking more or less like a human besides the wing, and registering as a human against any sort of magic that detects the race of a creature.|
Height: 5'11" (181 cm) | Build: Slender
Having covered the topic of the single wing, white-plumed and by all accounts stereotypically angelic, there still remain several unusual features of Laoren that make her noticeable in a crowd. Her hair is as strikingly white as her wings, with her outfit chosen to match as a general rule. Her skin is pale, almost equal to her hair, and her eyes striking red, marking Laoren as potentially a simple inheritor of albinism if her claims of humanity are to be believed. These features aside, Laoren more or less appears as a normal human; taller, perhaps, than the average woman, but of a healthy and unnoticeable physique. Her face and skin give no sign of the advanced age she claims to possess, and she appears by all accounts to be a young adult woman.
Her standard garments appear business-like in nature, with her wardrobe comprised of suits, jackets, and dresses of a modest and proper cut. Only her footwear gives away her more adventurous nature; Laoren generally wears traveling boots of light to moderate wear. Her choice of hairstyle supports the impression given by her boots; short and practical, giving an almost boyish appeal.
As a self-proclaimed very old person, Laoren has the teasing and trollish tendencies that the old masters sometimes acquire. She enjoys being mysterious to no real end, and frequently speaks nonsense when a straightforward answer is readily available. Her mannerisms are also likely to shift at random, most likely for the sole purpose of catching others off guard.
In regards to personal relationships, Laoren is best described as warm but secretive. Although she does not like to talk much about herself beyond obvious truths and even more obvious lies, she nonetheless acts friendly towards most and tends not to be as aloof as her lack of openness might suggest. She likes to maintain a wide variety of contacts, and doesn't worry too much about keeping in touch with people of opposing factions or lifestyles.
As for the topic of any 'true' personality Laoren might have, here are her words on the matter, "People are who they are, not who they think they are."
From not quite time immemorial, but certainly a time long enough ago that even the woman herself would be hard-pressed to remember the details, Laoren had watched over the development of the Tree and its countries. Despite that, she never made herself known in politics or heroism, and so there were few to none aside from immortals that even know of this fact. For most of her life, Laoren made her home outside the flowers, content to enter civilization now and then to catch up with the latest happenings and update her fashion sense accordingly.
Her business along the tree generally involved investigating the appearance of new buds. No records exist of what exactly she did if she ever found any, since she never particularly influenced any of the flowers. Knowledge of her activities were largely restricted to the drinking buddies she would acquire from time to time. When pressed for her motives, Laoren would decline having any; historical evidence supported this claim, for the most part.
As a wanderer, she would occasionally help relocate misplaced Outsiders, but besides that, Laoren chose to live a relatively uneventful life. She did make a minor blip in the history books when she opposed the construction of the train system as it ran through what she called her 'summer house', but a particularly astute overseer for the construction swiftly bribed her with some modern sweets (at the time), and so Laoren's impact on the burgeoning industrial revolution was minimized without much incident.
