Within the bounds of the Silvaria, the capital of the hoity toity Regnum’s, a certain draconic blonde had just unloaded a pretty hefty hall of rare pelts she and a small adventuring party had collected on one of the wilder flower’s of this place they called the world tree, and as such the blonde was celebrating. While the Regnum’s were not exactly her type, she herself never the kind to belong to a monarchy unless she herself was the one ruling it (and even then she’d be a pretty half assed ruler she’d admit that right out the gate, probably putting herself on the front lines and in way too much danger), she could admit the Regnum’s capital had one thing going for it. Beer. Her own home’s beer was nothing to scoff at, but it was definitely more alcohol than flavour. Here she could get sloshed and not flinch a little every time she decided to down the whole pint.
Not realizing her fore-arms had turned red with her draconic scales, tending to only be semi in control of her transformations when she got so drunk, the blonde swayed a little in her barstool left and right, a fairly hefty amount of empty drinks infront of her, her dragon blood not letting her get this sloshed so easily.
Had she spent her earnings for the day? Maybe. Was she regretting that decision? What? Whats that? She can’t hear you over the sound of another drink sliding into her hand.
“Oh baby can’t you see…I’m falliiiiin. A gal like you could use a wooooman.~” Giggling to herself as she recalled a song recently sang at a bar in her hometown, Mia didn’t recognize it as some old folk song or the like, but rather- “Ya know those outsiders come over here with the weirdest music. Its all so…smooth…but then some of it’s not smooth. Some of it’s really poppy and loud and other times its just mellooooow like….wheeen you walk away. You don’t heeeeeeeeeear me say-!” She whirled around in her stool, opening up her arms, annoying some of the locals with her sounds, not used to such a ruffian in their ranks. “OOOOH BABY!~ Don’t go!~” She turned back to the bar, chuckling to herself in her sloshed state. “Ah…you guys should get some outsider music in here rather than that smooth little violinist ya got in the corner…yeeeah that might liven the place up…!~”

So the bar may or may not be the best place for Bella to travel to. The last thing on her mind when it came to the bar was actually going to it. Her parents would ban her from going outside anymore if they found out she was drinking, which was why she had to make up the excuse that she was in the middle of training with a few classmates at her academy. In reality, she was meeting up with a few friends to drink. She could've denied since she didn't drink at all, but why miss out on a change to branch out of her comfort zone?
Dressed for the occasion in a black plain sweater, light pink shorts and black and white sneakers, Bella entered into the bar. It was definitely a lot different from the usual attire most people in Regnum wore even if it was a casual outfit, but there were times where she wanted to take a step back from Regnum's usual fashion.
The first thing her ears picked up - or rather twitched in discomfort - was some... unpleasant singing, and that was only put in the nicest way Bella could find. Her nose scrunched up from the alcohol that reeked the bar, but her eyes only scanned through her glasses to find her friends. To her dismay, it seemed as though her friends didn't arrive yet. As much as she wanted to get away so she could spare her ears from the atrocious singing, she had to stay in, wait, and just hope they show up.
Sighing to herself, she walked past a couple of people, some she bumped into, and found herself a seat next to a blonde woman. She noticed the red scales on her arms, but her attention immediately went towards the stench of beer when she leaned in closer to take a quick whiff of how much she drank out of mere curiosity.
As she gagged quietly to herself, she pulled herself back. "Try not to drink too much, you don't want a hangover... though you may as well be on your way to it anyway." She said with a sigh while shaking her head out of disappointment.

Having started to rest her cheek on the bar with a hand still firmly clasped around the handle of her latest pint/mug of beer, Mia's purple eyes peered open as she heared the sound of a soft feminine voice addressing her. It took a second for her vision to clear, but as she was presented with a wave of pink she briefly thought it was that girl Sera she'd help set up a home for in Ardura. Sadly, or even better yet, thankfully, it seemed she was wrong, as with her eyes adjusting to being open again, she sat right up as she was greeted by the rather pretty face of a Kitsune. Mia couldn't be sure what was going on beneath the thicker fabrics of a sweater, but with a face like that the blonde Dragon was immediately interested, the patches of scales on her skin deciding to settle a bit more as they spread entirely over her forearms, seeming more collected and organized rather than the splotchy patches there were a moment ago.
"Well helloooo.~ What brings you to my company?~ Surely I can't be so lucky as to have earned the attention of a pretty lass like yourself~" She gestured a bit extravegently in her current state, almost as if she was in an exagerated shakesperian play, though careful not to throw the beer out of her mug as she did so. She finally caught up with the words she'd been addressed with, rapidly sobering up. Still definitely drunk but speaking with a clearer head as she woke up a tad. "Oh I'll be fine. Blood like mine don't get drunk so easily, and it's even harder to get us hung over.~"
Lifting her drink, she took a more moderate sip than the chugs she'd been having, letting the handle slide across her fingers as she opened up one to point at the Kitsune across from her. "Can I get ya something?~ Wouldn't be very polite of me to let a lass like yerself drink on yer own.~"

She noticed that the scales on her arm became more settled than when she first witnessed them, so maybe her words did get to the woman. Hopefully she'd be more careful with how much she's drinking. The face of regret then started to slowly starting to shift on Echo's face when the blonde woman turned her attention to her. She would run away if she could, but she'd rather not fact the chance of bumping into her friends and trying to explain why she ran off. Let's just say that they were more experienced in these types of settings compared to Echo.
"Well... just because it's harder doesn't make it unlikely. ...You should still watch yourself." Echo said with a concerning nod. Not that she really cared too much with what this stranger does to herself, Echo would still like for her to take better care of herself. It was at times like this she felt damned for being a little too caring.
Echo's eyes slightly widen and ears perked up in sudden realization when she hadn't even ordered anything for herself yet as the blonde woman offered to buy her a drink. "Oh! Well... thank you, I suppose." She said with a gentle but weary smile. "This is actually my first time coming to a bar, let alone drink, so... I'm not too familiar with alcohol and beer served here. I would appreciate it if you can recommend a good drink to try." She wasn't too sure if this was a mistake, but all Echo knew was that it was too late to take back what she said and she had no intentions of doing so.

"Oh I'll be fine, seriously, I got, what?" She looked down at the empty glasses that had collected infront of her, all of them left almost as if the barmen was leaving them there on purpose just to keep track of how much she'd owe by the end of the night, but Mia herself quickly added them up. "A dozen pints? Nowhere near my record. I'll be fine honestly." She would not be fine. While she was okay right now, typically when she was in Ardura she'd have one of her family members there to remind her to have a drink of water before she went to bed. If she went to bed somewhere here, renting a room or whatever, she was not gonna get by without a painful headache the next day.
As the woman beside her seemed to turn to her for a recommendation for a drink, Mia smirked a bit initially just from the fact the girl was admitting she was out of her element, and Mia straightened up her back a bit, lifting a finger to catch the Barman's attention. "Don't worry I gotcha. Hey Barman! Same again! And for the lady...~" Mia leaned on the bar with her elbow, cheek resting in her palm as she narrowed her eyes towards the fox girl beside, her, glancing down her body then to her face. "Okay so...you're in casual clothes but that looks like it ain't no cheap fabric...face is well cared for...glasses show you care more about seeing than looking good." She smirked and added. "Though they work for me mind.~" A quick giggle, she relaxed, and continued. "I'd say you're used to the finer things in the capital of the regnum sooooo..." She turned back to the barman with a sloppy smirk.
"Give us a glass of red whine from...lets say something between your mid and top range stuff. Enough for a bit of class but also enough for me to afford." The minotaur Barman nodded and moved back to the shelves, pouring Mia her usual in a mug, handing it to her even though the blonde had forgotten she still had half a glass left, and handing across a smooth looking glass of wine to the fox woman. "Cheers.~" Mia smirked, lifting her fresh glass rather than her half empty one.

Echo was no genius when it came to alcohol consumption, but she was positive that a dozen pints of alcohol was way too much. She was about to object, but it was for the best to keep it to herself. If the stranger said that she was okay, then she'll take her word for it.
The Kitsune rose an eyebrow when the blonde woman began to analyze her appearance to determine what drink she should get. She actually wondered if this was a thing that everyone does to first timers at bars. Probably not, but it would be an odd but interesting culture to dive into. Echo's brows then rose as the blonde woman came to her conclusion, a small amused smirk formed on her lips. "My, you're smarter than your choices to just drink away." She complimented.
Her eyebrows then relaxed while the bartender was called over. She was familiar with red wine or at least the name of it. It was a fine alcohol that many nobility consume. As the wine was poured into her glass and given to her, Echo's face gravitated to the cup where she'd then take a few sniffs at the liquid. It smelled exquisite, that much she could probably say. Her tail swayed from left and right in excitement as she picked up the glass from the counter.
She took a small sip of her glass, her face scrunching up a little from the taste. Daring herself to swallow it, her ears lowered themselves onto her head and her tail going stiff. She made a soft moan as her mouth was opened from the stingy after taste it left on her tongue while her actual tongue stuck out a little in disgust. She was ready to throw this glass on the floor. It tasted bitter and extremely unpleasant, but the woman spent money on Echo so she couldn't do anything but accept the gesture with gratitude.
"Well... I do thank you for at least buying me a drink." Echo said while placing her drink down, giving the glass a weak nudge to push it away from her. "I do have to ask, how do people enjoy these beverages? They taste so... undrinkable. Bitter. Disgusting, even." While she talked, she felt herself shiver while her ears twitched in dissatisfaction. It was a true wonder and even a greater mystery for someone to be an alcoholic.

Mia scoffed immediately when the girl took her first sip, covering her mouth with her hand as she chuckled into it and rolled her eyes as the girl so clearly wrinkled up her nose in disgust, shaking her head along as she let out a chuckling sigh once she calmed down her giggles. "God you just do not have a poker face do ya foxy?" Smirking across to her she clearly wasn't offended however, just lifting her drink up again and having another moderate sip before leaning back in her stool a little, thankful that it was one of the rare stools to have a bit of a back to it, resting her elbows back upon it.
"You don't have to finish it if it ain't for you. Here." She raised her hand again. "Just get us a juice or er...a water? What you prefer?" She'd let the girl answer and order up whatever non-alcoholic drink she'd prefer, letting her have that instead, taking the wine glass so it didn't go to waste and downing the whole glass quickly, though from a ruffle of her own nose she clearly didn't like the taste much herself. "Aaaah...as far as liking it goes, I'm gonna bet I don't have much of a refined pallette...I mean I'll drink this stuff but whether it's good or not, you shouldn't be looking to me to judge..."
She shrugged casually, turning her eyes back to the girl as her temporary sobering up powered through a bit more. "So, what you doing in a place like this if ya don't drink?"

Echo looked down in embarrassment while biting her lips and her ears still lowered. On the inside, she was confident that she would be able to handle her very first drink. She didn't know it'd go this bad, especially when she did a poor job on trying to hide her disgust for the woman to not notice. She didn't look up to witness the blonde woman take the glass of wine and drink all of it. "I'm sorry." She murmured. Although the drink wasn't completely wasted, she couldn't help but feel bad for the woman to by Echo a drink only for her to push it away after one sip.
"...I'll have some juice. Fruit punch, please." Echo said as she picked her head up alongside her ears doing the same. The bartender nodded his head and went back to the shelves before he returned with a glass of fruit punch. He carefully slid the glass to Echo before she grabbed the cup and began to take a long sip of her drink. After her sip, she made a satisfied sigh as she placed the drink down, licking her lips. Now that, that was a lot better. "Well, you can actually drink unlike me who can't tolerate even one sip so I don't think I have room to judge you." She said with a chuckle.
Echo circled her finger around the rim of her glass, pouting a little with a sigh as her attention went to the glass. "I was supposed to meet a few friends here, but... I'll just wait and see if they'll show up." She answered while she trailed off in disappointment. "Not that I don't enjoy your company, of course!" Echo was quick to look back at the blonde woman with a nervous smile to correct herself with realization that she thought the woman could've taken what she said before the wrong way.
"I take it that you're a regular here? With being able to consume so much alcohol, there'd be nothing that can convince me otherwise."

"Oh think nothing of it.~" Mia smiled at the apology, not caring much for it. If someone didn't like booze, they didn't like booze. End of story. Mia wasn't gonna sing it's praises, she knew some people just couldn't handle it and that was the end of that story. She meanwhile could down the stuff drink after drink, and she'd rather have a cold beer than a cold soda, and heck she wasn't even sure why. Where many people tasted something bitter and repulsive she tasted something smooth and relaxing. Maybe it was the dragon aspects of her tongue.
"Fruit punch it is then." She responded, as if the barman could hear her but not the girl herself. Even sobering up so quickly she was still clearly faintly out of it. That or her own inherent sense of ego had her thinking she had to be the one ordering everything. She managed to finish off the glass that had been half empty for a while now as the fox girl recieved her own drink, Mia shifting the more fresh glass infront of her to focus on that next. "Ah I wouldn't see drinking as a blessing or anything. Draconic blood or not I'm probably gonna have that bite me in the ass someday." She offered a lazy smirk and a shrug, aware of what alcohol can do to a person in the long term, but very much a person who's always gonna live in the now.
"Hah! Don't go pretending I'm as good a person to hang with as your friends! You ain't gonna hurt my feelings by picking them over some stranger's company, really. Besides I know I'm not exactly on my A game after this many drinks so I'm not as good a drinking buddy as they might be...but hey at least now when they get here you'll know you ain't much of a drinker before they make fun of you for that wrinkled up little nose of yours.~" A cheeky smirk crossed her lips before she took a sip and leaned on the bar again, purple eyes tracing back to the fox as her own claw circled her glass, a soft hum coming from it as the hard claw brushed along the glass surface.
"I'm an Aequalis, so here, specifically, I'm no regular. Just dropped off a load of supplies so...unless you could tell just by looking at me, Silvaria ain't exactly my kinda scene." She offered her hand across. "Name's Mia. Ardura born and bred." She looked to her hand, shook it in the air, the scales fading and returning to a flesh coated hand before they shook.

It was a good thing nothing was taken personally. Maybe, or just most likely, Echo was just overthinking it. For all she knew, some other stranger might have taken offense to what she said. How would she know? She just didn't, but it was a possibly that she wouldn't want to encounter. "Well, I guess I should thank you for saving me the embarrassment." She said with a chuckle. It was already bad enough for her to react terribly to drinking for the first time in front of a stranger, but she'd take that over doing it in front of her friends. Echo knew her friends wouldn't let her live if she tried alcohol in front of them, so she'll just take it with a grain of salt.
"Aequalis, huh?" Echo echoed, pulling her finger away from the rim of her glass so she could pick it up and drink from it. She never really traveled outside of Regnum, let alone travel outside of the capital. She always felt there was no need to travel outside of it from a nobility point ofview in a sense that she has all the things she wants and need right here in Silvaria. She did feel like she wasn't ready nor comfortable with traveling, but she was going to have to step out of her comfort zone one way or another if she wanted to explore and venture around the world.
"To be fair, Silvaria does have some people from the slums that dress similarly to you, so it isn't entirely impossible... no offense." Echo said with another chuckle. "I'm Echo, err, Silvaria born." She said. Silvaria was her home and will always be as such, but she had contemplated on moving elsewhere to get a whole new experience.
"So what's Audra like? I take it it's extremely hot over there, but hearing that you're Draconic blood, I'm guessing the heat isn't much of a big deal for you. Unless I'm terribly wrong, then correct me as such." Maybe Audra would be her first stop when she leave Regnum. It could be unlikely, but surely possible nonetheless.

"Again, think nothing of it. It'd take a lot for you to embaress yourself around a gal like me. Shame and shit ain't exactly my bread and butter.~" She held a cheeky smirk for a moment, flashing her faintly more prominent fangs before continuing her conversation with her new foxy friend. Least she considered the girl enough of a good person to be called a friend in her current state. "That'd be right. Good ol' thinkin' of the people Aequalis. Personally I ain't one for government and crap in any form but as far as they go, I grew up under 'em and my family sure as hell appreciate 'em for all the help they give when we've been through rough times, so I can't say they're the worst as these factions go."
Sipping from her drink again, she snickered into it for a moment as she was related to people from the slums. "Oh none taken. We've got stick up their ass rich folk who dress like you too...no offense.~" She got extra cheeky with her grin at the end of that little statement, clearly just throwing one back at the fox girl for her own comment there.
"Well nice to meet ya Echo. Maybe if I ever need a tour of Silvaria I know who to hit up now...s'far as my own home goes, I don't mind it so much. It's definitely hot but stick to one of the settlements and you won't be too short on water, though you are right, being part dragon might mean I just have it easier than most. I wouldn't exactly be able to tell the difference now would I?" She smirked a little but continued. "How about you? Any benefits to being a...fox...person? In Silvaria I mean."

Echo couldn't help but squint at the woman for the rich comment. She can't get too annoyed since Echo already made an unintentional comment herself, so she probably deserved that. But if there's one thing Echo is good at, it's always trying to get the last laugh and getting a little petty for it. "Well, you got me there. At least we have the money to look like this. No offense." Echo said as her voice gotten a little lighter as she spoke, forcing a smile on her lips before she looked back at her glass and took another sip.
Just the idea of sticking to a certain location for the sake of not running out of water was already turn off and a reason for Echo to not travel to Audra. Then again, she would still most likely travel there in the near future anyway just to see what it's like. Maybe if Echo herself was a dragon she might take into actual consideration to go quicker than expected. "Hmm. I might just have to take a visit one day, then." She said.
Echo sat back in her seat a little in thought, her head raised up to look at the ceiling for a few moments before looking back at her drink, then at Mia. "Well, as a Kitsune, there isn't really much to say when it comes to my kind as far as I know. I may get a few glances here or there, but that's about it." She paused for a moment to take another sip of her juice before she continued. "But I come from nobility, so it does make access to the more finer and luxurious items a lot easier. I'm not exactly for classicism, but if it means granting wealth and fulfilling materialistic needs, why bite the hand that feeds me?" She explained.
"And who knows? Maybe I can give you a tour if it means making our first stop to a clothing store to get you better clothes. Anywho, is there anything that you do in Audra? You know, job wise and everything." Echo asked.

Mia scoffed into her drink at the cheeky comment about her wealth. Maybe she should have been insulted but she was just impressed by the wit and sharp tongue on this foxy little miss that she couldn't help but laugh, rubbing her face with her more fleshy hand and letting out a long sigh. "Ya got a sharp brain on ya I'll give ya that much, but in all seriousness I ain't as hard off as you might think.~ My family's got a lot of wealth on my mother's side, we just choose not to use it. We're fans of the simple life ya know?~" That and her mother had technically been cut off but what Echo here didn't know wouldn't hurt Mia's case.
Hearing her talk about visiting made Mia briefly smirk, though nothing to last as she doubted Echo was all that serious about it. "Maybe you should." Being all she responded with a bit of a casual shrug. She wouldn't expect anyone from Silvaria to visit Ardura.
"Aw, you got no special kitsune tricks? I heard you folks were masters of illusion or some crap~" Mia gave a cheeky smirk, twiddling the fingers on her free hand to mockingly mimic such a magic spell, as if the hand waving would be part and parcle of the process. Still- "Can't blame ya on the nobility thing though. No ones gonna complain about being at the top of the food chain, and honestly I'd think you were a weirdo if ya did. So ya won't be gettin' no judgement from me there."
She snickered once again at the offer to take her shopping, idly commenting. "Hey maybe if your friends don't get here we can make an afternoon of it. I definitely wouldn't mind spending more time with a pretty little fox like you.~" She pushed her drink entirely to the side, leaning on one arm and her chin in her hand as she gave the fox a more flirtatious smirk.

"...Oh." Was all Echo could say when she found out Mia had wealth despite her not using it. "Honestly? More power to you. For us, the simple life is using our wealth to get somewhere in a place like this." She said. Echo could probably live a more simplistic life without the use of her parents' money, she just chooses not to. Why? Because she has better access to wealth through her parents and it was more convenient. Still, her snarky comment stands.
Echo rolled her eyes as she couldn't help but giggle at the blonde woman. "Hey, you asked what it was like to be a kitsune in Silvaria, not in general." She said. "But a lot of us are able to cast illusions though, don't get me wrong. I myself don't think I'd be able to do so, or at least want to." She continued, shrugging while taking another drink of her fruit punch.
While she finished what was in her glass, she delicately slid the cup across the counter away from her. Echo then turned her whole body to Mia with a smirk of her own. "Now why stop at afternoon when I could also have you for the whole night? That is..." She paused for a moment as she motioned a hand over to Mia's thigh to lean closer to her face while keeping a reasonable distance from it. "If you can handle what I'm capable of." She said, squeezing her thigh with her nails only lightly poking her while her smirk transformed into a more amorous grin, exposing her sharp canine teeth and gave each fang a slow and tender lick.
Echo would only stare at the woman for a few more seconds before she gave a laugh and used her other hand to wave it dismissively. "On a more serious note though, I don't think my friends would mind if I skip our little meet up this one time." She said. She pulled herself away from Mia while taking her hand off of her thigh. She would then get out of her seat while she stretched her hands above her head.
"I know a few good clothing stores we can try out, but I'm taking you to my most favorite. The quality is definitely worth the price."

“Hey I mean if that’s what’s comfortable for you I ain’t gonna badmouth ya like I said. Ya got access to money, you’re gonna use it. My parents just decided not to.” Plus…her mom was a dragon. They were more known for hoarding gold then spending it, so even if she did still have access to the family treasure trove it would be kinda shaky whether they’d even be spending it or just sleeping in beds of gold like the dragons they were.
“I asked if there were any benefits to being a kitsune in Silvaria. I pictured a foxy gal like you able to use illusions to make sure her-“ She placed a hand to her chest, mocking a posh upper class voice. “Noble lineage-“ Out of the voice now. “Remained the top of the food chain…but hey, I’m sure your family might still do that even if you don’t have access to a trickster’s bag of illusions yourself.~”
Mia’s eyes definitely widened with intrigue as the girl beside her seemed to take her clear flirtation so openly, a red tint to her cheeks beyond the natural rosey glow alcohol could bring to someone, leaning a little further along the bar, not breaking eye contact even as the hand gently brushed over her thigh. “Honey please. You should be worrying if you can handle me…~” She certainly hadn’t been expecting this sudden flirtatious turn from the girl, and was just about to make a similarly advancing motion when her brief drinking partner pulled away with a laugh, the blonde narrowing her eyes in annoyance as she assumed that was just a bit of a joke for the little Echo, bringing her back to her own drink and finishing it off as she averted her eyes.
