Mia glanced up to the trees, still carrying the blonde over her shoulder as she spotted the ninja type of their party acting as a scount. Ugh, right. Normally they'd be able to just bulldoze through a group of monsters with some good coordination but with these fresh outsiders it wasn't worth the risk. Letting the Ninja direct them in the right path, Mia eased Lucien off her shoulder, not saying anything but providing a akin to a parent telling their child to 'behave'.
Niso himself was starting to adjust a little, twirling on his heels as he walked and absorbing the odd plant life around them as well as the odd creature in the branches above that seemed harmless enough. "Hey what are the odds of say...a carnivorous fox creature with the power to make illusions surviving out here? Or a...lets say 12 foot dragon, for instance." His tone didn't shift much at all despite his own mild concern.
"Er..." Mia thought for a moment and shrugged. "Both have good odds. We talking hypotheticals or-?"
"I know a pair by that description. They likely won't be together though."
Mia thought a moment longer and shrugged again. "You saw a big bad just moments ago, so if you think the fox is sneaky enough or the dragons tough enough, I'll leave that down to you."
Niso himself lingered on that. Bruce was definitely smart enough to avoid a conflict that just wasn't worth it and would cruely feast on anything smaller than him. As far as Karlak went, if he was here like Niso was beginning to assume given Hoopa's choice to send them all here, the dragon should be just fine...he did like to assert his dominance even back in the pokemon world, and he doubted he'd let a gorilla get the best of him.
"Odds are." Mia began, interupting his thoughts. "If your friends are...lets say 'incompatible' with this world, like, if your dragons arent OUR dragons, they'll have changed to fit. What that means could be good or bad. Dragon mighta gotten bigger, fox mighta gotten smaller, or heck, maybe he even got better illusions. Its hard to tell with you outsiders..."
"Right...and...Sera?" He asked, pointing his thumb to the girl beside him.
"Hm?" She glanced over her shoulder. "Oh, sorry, you guys know me but I ain't got your names?" She allowed a moment to introduce before continuing. "And...I dunno. Your girlfriend got any unique, succubusy powers or...she just really into 'stuff'?"
Niso paused, glanced to Sera, and having no sense of keeping his mouth shut- "Bit of both."

Sera decided to drift over and hold Lucien's hand as they walked once he was set down. He seemed like he could use the comfort, and frankly so could she just now. Besides, Niso was pretty engaged talking to this new Mia. Sera just listened to the theories about Bruce and Karlak, hoping both would indeed be okay if Karlak was even here.
She rolled her eyes at the whole succubus bit. "I did not have any--" Well.. Wait, she totally used her empathy power to enhance sexual pleasure so uh. "I had one power that wasn't inherently like that okay." Speaking of, she wondered if that still worked here, and she tried to project a faintly calming feeling at Lucien, watching for any signs of relaxation to help her tell if it worked.

A weird sigh came and went from Lucien as he was eased back to standing again. Following in line with everyone, he didn’t say much more. Sera’s hand in his own helped. Thumbing over her knuckles, he took slow, deep breaths.
Lucien registered Niso asking about his own Pokemon but didn’t have anything to add. He tried maybe once or twice to add some witty line or some commentary, but it felt like he was suddenly rubbed raw and didn’t have the energy for it. Suck. His lips may have quirked a little at Sera’s rebuttal, and maybe his body did relax slowly as the empathy started kicking in. Recognizing this sort of second-hand feeling, though, he managed a small smile in Sera’s direction. “Thankya, neh…”
As the party trailed on, the Ninja eventually let out a high whistle, a sound that they were finally within the general area of a town. Lucien too looked up finding his vision a bit more clear now that he was not straining his brain and his aura sight. He wasn’t sure what he had been expecting. Towns seemed so towny, but this was like… tiny towny. Villageish. This was civilization in this crazy place? Lucien frowned a little. “Least we’re somewhere …” Not the most precise or important comment he could have come up with.

Mia chuckled a little as Sera stopped her own retort to her comment about the succubus thing. "Hey sometimes it can be random, but your boyfriend ain't puttin up much of a fight in your defense there." Niso did briefly open his mouth to say something...buuut he didn't really have much. This new Mia had him there. It took him a few seconds to solely add-
"Well at the very least she's too sweet to be a demon."
"Heh, I'll take your word for it. She seems quite nice as is." Breathing in the less thick air of the village thanks to the less dense trees, Mia pushed through and ahead. "Right, I'll be at the tavern once I hand in today's haul Ryan. Dunno if you guys wanna catch up later, but for now Ryan's capable hands. Adios." With that she was off, scooping a bag off Ryan's back with some supplies as she rushed off to sell them off, Niso waving idly, glancing to Lucien and Sera, a brief smile on him but little more, not wanting to invade since he knew he was handling this far differently than the two of them.

Sera was a little disappointed to have Mia heading off so soon, but trusted her when she said Ryan was capable. "Well, now that we're in town I should have some reception," he said, pulling out what looked almost like a smart phone, although a little different than any one Sera had ever seen. He pulled up a map to show them, explaining where they were within Vervitae and how this was the least developed flower on the tree.
"You'll wanna head to somewhere with proper civilization and let a government official know you're newly arrived outsiders. They'll help get you set up. Mia and I are from Ardura if you wanna check that out." He pulled up some more information and explained how the governments worked. Aequalis did sound like it was a nice and generous place, so if this Ardura was part of it Sera supposed it was as good a place as any to go. Ryan also explained about the train system in the branches. "The local train station is just over yonder."
"Oh neat. It's like the subways back home," Sera remarked. "What do you guys think? Should we rest here a while first or head to this Ardura to try to get registered and set up with some permanent shelter?"

Lucien tried to pay attention. He really did. But his brain had gone from buzzing with questions to a low hum of weird exhaustion and disinterest. Ok, ok, find a less dangerous hell hole, talk to some people and get set up. Yeah. Ardura. He wasn’t sure he’d remember such a weird name, but that was fine for now. The more information that was explained, however, the less focus Lucien could maintain. His eyes did raise to the train system, however, and a vague feeling of hominess did come and go from him.
“Mmmm we could like rest of the train yeh?” he slowly asked reaching his free hand back and rubbing his neck. As much as he wanted to just lay down flat and deflate right then, the thought of staying even semi-close to this wild place didn’t sound that great. Actual civilization sounded great. “Yeh, le’s do that.”

Niso leaned over Sera’s shoulder as Ryan presented them with the information, though he did have to readjust how close he should be as a brief movement of Sera’s own head had his eye nearly poked out thanks to her new horns. Shaking it off all the same, not about to hold it against her that she wasn’t yet used to the two random growths in her head, he listened to the information.
Factions huh? And based loosely off systems he recognized from back home. Fair enough her supposed, intelligent races could only differentiate so much from how they did things if they didn’t suddenly all evolve to not be selfish. Aequalis may have been inherently a selfless government, but Niso was sure he’d find something wrong with it. Maybe just find it too boring and peaceful. At the question of staying here or going, hearing this was the least developed flower, his decision was clear as his curiosity won over any sense of safety and security.
“Lucien’s got a fair point, might as well rest on a train…I mean we’re riding this ‘world tree’ thing apparently so unless it runs at hyper speed we’re gonna have a good while to rest huh?” He shrugged, not really aware of the scale or speed of these trains, or the world tree itself, even adding air quotes when he said ‘world tree’ to emphasize how little he really understood it without seeing it yet.
“Mostly I wanna get on the train and offa this flower…can’t exactly tell the whole…’tree’ thing going on here.” He looked up, even in the clearing around the village didn’t make it clear they were on some weird sort of tree flower. He twirled lightly in circles trying to see what was going on.

Sera nodded as they made their points about the train. "Yeah, that's fair..."
Ryan showed them to the train station, and just before they went inside remembered, "Oh! Take my card." He fished one out of his pocket, reading "Ryan Sieger, Adventurer for Hire" with what Sera could only assume was a phone number, albeit formatted differently than numbers back home. "Once you guys get a phone, feel free to call me some time. I can help you get back in touch with the others too if you want. Mia was eager to head off to the pub but I'm sure she'll be interested in making sure you guys get settled okay since we're the ones who found you."
Sera nodded and thanked Ryan, and then the trio headed inside.
The inside of the train station looked nothing like the homely outside. The walls looked like natural wood grain in unnatural colors, with lines of light running through it, and the trains themselves had an ethereal look about them. There was no price for tickets, but a ticket booth was set up regardless to ensure trains didn't get over capacity. "Where to?" asked the vendor.
"Ardura, please," said Sera. Three tickets were administered, and directions were given to the appropriate platform where the train waited, but wasn't quite yet ready to leave. Finding a seat inside, Sera pulled the boys down in the seats on either side of her. "I need to cuddle," she pouted.

“Heh, yeah.” Lucien researched up and rubbed one side of his face as Niso agreed with him. That was a good point too, he guessed. Following after Ryan to the train station, Lucien blinked a couple of times as the card was presented. Ryan Sieger— “Holy fuck it is you, dude???” Er, probably not considering Mia was different too but, uh. If Ryan asked or looked at him, Lucien would immediately shake his head. “Ah uh, never mind, dude.”
He was immediately distracted by the train’s inner area. Woah… Taking the ticket and the directions, Lucien followed after and eventually sat down next to Sera. No complaints about cuddles. Resting his head on her shoulder, Lucien took a deep breath. “Arceus…” He felt drained as all of hell could get out. Reaching up, he rubbed his own temple slowly. “This place is fuckin’ weird…” he muttered more to himself than to either of the other two.
As the train’s horn chimed and the train itself started to move, Lucien was aware of the gentle pull forward. Very briefly, he glanced a little outward realizing Niso had inadvertently been given the window seat with how they had sat down. Eh. Oh well. “Ya see anything interesting yet?”

Niso would have let out a light whistle at the odd interior but he could realize his weird enthusiasm was probably in bad taste by now with how exhausted the other two looked. Pulling into the booth Sera was drifting towards first so she naturally had someone to lay into, briefly perking his smile up and wrapping an arm around her waist as she asked for cuddles, watching her for a brief while even as the train started to move, though before they left the flower he did turn his eyes outward to the window with natural intrigue.
Glancing off to the sky, expecting to see something there before the ground, they seemed to pass some vibrant looking borders, the petals of the flower apparently, before finally passing through to the world beyond. The train didn't lurch, but from how blurry the world around them got it was clear they were going MUCH faster the moment they got beyond the flower. Niso's eyes widened as she watched the blye sky fade out a bit, the 'walls' around them the bark of the tree they were travelling on, and of course, the branches of the tree in the distant sky, as well as a few vibrant specs being flowers in the distance.
"Er...yeah hard to explain....but I wouldn't suggest taking a peek if you get vertigo easy..." Niso tended to get a sense of vertigo whenever he felt 'small' in terms of the universe, so he conflated the word with the sensation.

Sera leaned over Niso to get a good look despite his warning, and awed at the way the sky had darkened. She could make out the faint outlines of branches cracking through the sky in the distance, and every now and then a line of light would run through one like slow lightning. She assumed those must be other trains running. "It's beautiful..." And at the same time, a little scary and very alien.
"I guess..." She sat back in her seat. "If we're stuck somewhere strange it may as well be a beautiful place with magic and technology alike but..." She whimpered, hunkering down between the boys. "I already miss home..."

Lucien considered leaning over and looking out himself, but he had done enough ‘looking’ already in the short time that they had been there. The whirl of colors had subsided. He no longer had double vision from it, but who knew if that was just going to happen every time he tried to use his aura sight now or what. “I’ll take your word for it,” was all he’d mumble to both Sera and Niso.
The mention of missing home earned a small sigh. “Same…” Or at least some aspects of it. He already felt like a strange piece of him had been twisted to the point of shattering, and he wasn’t exactly sure if it was breaking or had already broken at that point. “I’m… gonna be the first one to figure out how ta get home though,” he resolved with a slow shift in tone. “Or bring everyone in our world here I guess.” He snorted before shrugging his shoulders.
And just then the weirdest thought hit him. “Hey wait a sec— there was a Mia here ‘lready…do… do you think there’s also a Lucien, Sera, ‘n Niso here already too??”

Niso smiled briefly as Sera seemed to have a nice moment looking out of the window on the train and up into the branch filled sky around them, but of course he knew even that couldn't get rid of the shellshock sensation of being here and the Pokemon they'd left behind that she'd miss. He had a still smiling but much more solemn expression as he cuddled into Sera's side and gently kissed her cheek before nuzzling into her, just wanting her to feel warm and safe despite their new environment.
As Lucien asked his question, Niso pulled back a little. He had the briefest moment of serious thought, but seeing the chance for a joke to hopefully lighten the two's mood, even if only for a second, he smirked and gestured between himself and Sera. "Well...there's a lot of factors, and while they may have some differences like how...Mia was taller and a little more tanned, there could definitely be a Niso and a Sera I guess but..."
He then gestured to Lucien. "I don't think even the multi-verse can handle two of you.~"

Niso's affection did soothe Sera if ever so slightly. Just the touch of his skin and knowing he cared enough to try-- knowing at least if she had to be stuck someplace strange she was with the person she loved most-- was comforting. Safe and warm might have been a little far off, but in relation to the situation, this came pretty close.
Lucien's thoughts had her straightening up with realization though. "Huh?" Oh, damn, that was a good question. She snorted at Niso's reaction, pressing a hand to her mouth to hide her grin. "I dunno, sweetie, I'm not sure the multi-verse could handle two of you either." Though just imagine this world's Niso being a sweet unassuming boy. How boring.
Another thought occurred. "What if we switched places with them? Like what if our doppelgangers are living our old lives now?" Spooky.

Lucien immediately scoffed at Niso’s reply, equal parts offended and intentionally dramatic. “Well… well of course the multi-verse couldn’t handle me, I’m too good for it. Out of all the seen and unseen dimensions, only I can stand atop as the best of the best.” Throwing out an arm, Lucien changed voice and tone to something more Kalosian and even more dramatic. It lasted for a few seconds at most before his hand dropped again. Lucien tried to smile for a bit, but it fell short right after.
The thought of switching places with his in-world doppelganger, however, did have him pausing again, though. “Man I hope he knows how to take care ‘f Pokemon or something…,” he thought aloud reaching to scratch under his chin.
