Below is just a sample of races found on the World Tree to help give you ideas. Feel free to use races not on this list as well!
- Angels
Not true harolds of any god here, but celestial winged beings nonetheless. - Anthropomorphic Animals/Creatures
Bipedal, humanoid versions of various animals and magical creatures. More fully animal than Creature-kin.
- Awakened Animals/Creatures
Animals, but more intelligent, capable of speaking Common. Range from cats and dogs to dragons and griffins.
- Centaurs
Half-man, half-horse, all awesome. Horse breed and humanoid half may both vary. Other varieties of 'taurs can also be found. - Creature-kin
Dragonkin, catkin, etc. These are humanoids with some animal or creature traits. More human than Anthros.
- Doppleganger
Shapeshifters who tend to take on the forms of others, though they tend to have one preferred form too.
- Demons
Sometimes sinister, sometimes just mischievous. Includes succubi/incubi/omnibi as well.
- Dwarves
Sturdy, stout, and very in-tune with the earth.
- Elves
Typically willowy and graceful, but all an elf really needs is long ears.
- Faeries
Magical creatures with wings that maybe be solid or made of light. Pixies are a tiny variant.
- Gnomes
Small and typically very energetic.
- Humans
Even here, humans are common and abound! A hardy, survivable race.
- Kitsune
Shapeshifting multi-tailed foxes. Typically have a humanoid form and powers of illusion.
- Merfolk
Part man, part fish. Sirens are a variation. Some can switch to legs at will, while others cannot.
- Nymphs
Typically female, but anything is possible here. Humanoid elemental spirits.
- Orcs
Big and brawny, typically with pointed ears and pointier tusks.
- Satyrs
Known for debauchery and wine, these half-man half-goats are typically male but anything is possible here.
- Undine
An aquatic humanoid race more fully fishy and bestial than merfolk.
- Weres
Werewolves, werecats, wereanything. Bestial shifters typically affected by the moon.
- Vampires
Undead with fangs that typically need blood in their diet to thrive. May also be bat shifters.
