"Alright, time to finally lock this place up for the evening." Alice announced to herself as she stepped around the counter and wandered off to a little corner by the snack aisle. Working as a Deli Clerk definitely has its perks. She gets to meet a lot of friendly people and live in a more peaceful setting. Sure, it wasn't as fun or exciting as living the wealthy life as she used to, but it most certainly beats having her life in danger 24/7. It was the weekend, so the deli usually closes early in the evening to make up the store for opening so early. At least she gets to have the whole evening for herself. She actually enjoyed working in the deli, but she also liked having free time for herself. As long as no one else showed up, then there was no other reason for Alice to stick around.

Kaila strolled into the corner shop with a bright smile on her face. Elysia was cute compared to Silvaria. As she hailed from Silvaria, it was only natural for her to think that it was the best. The bustling activity, the expensive clothes, luxurious lifestyle, it was all so perfect and just right for someone like Kaila. So why was she here? Well, let's just say she wanted to see what the farming life was like. And she was actually amazed with the tight knitted community and the coziness it provided. A completely different twist from Silvaria. The kitsune walked into a corner shop, just to buy herself a nice little sandwich while she was on her venture of exploring. When she walked in, she noticed the shop was empty. But she did spot a cute woman who knew how to dress herself. What made things a little more interesting was the fact that it most definitely didn't look like it was Elysian fashion. "Well hello there!" Kaila called to the blonde woman with a big smile. "I hope I didn't miss the chance of being tended to by a beautiful woman like yourself." She said. "I hope you don't mind making me a sandwich. Chopped up lettuce and tomato, extra cheese, and some black pepper, please." She continued. [Outfit] |

When she made sure that everything was in tact in the store, Alice was ready to lock the shop up and call it a night. Just when she was about to do so, she noticed a woman enter make her entrance. She'd be lying if she said the woman didn't look and judging by her outfit, she was no Elysian folk. It even made her raise an eyebrow out of amusement and curiosity with a tiny smirk.
"Oh, uh, the guy that's in charge of making sandwiches already left... but heck, I'll still do it for you anyway." She said with a soft smile and a small shrug. Walking back and around the counter, she went to where the ingredients for making a sandwich and began creating the other woman's order.
A few moments later, Alice returned with a black plastic bag that had the sandwich wrapped inside of it. "Alright, do you want a drink with that? If not, then it'll be just 2 Florence. If you do, that'll be 3 Florence. We have a bottle of water, bottle of juice of various kinds, soda, your pick." She said.

The cute blonde woman was willing to make a sandwich for her despite the person in charge of doing so was absent. While she walked to the counter and waited for her sandwich, she took a look around the shop. It was definitely different from what she was used to in Silvaria. Here it was just quiet and relaxing, but in Silvaria? Nothing but the noisy and busy environment she was already used to.
Kaila's face lit up when the blonde woman came along with her sandwich in a bag. She hummed to herself in thought when she was offered a drink to buy. "A bottle of water will do." She said. She'd then pay for both her sandwich and bottle of water and take both of them off from the counter. "I know this may be a little too much and odd to ask this and all, but do you mind showing me around the place? I'm not exactly familiar with this area, so a walking buddy would be greatly" appreciated." She cooed with a wink.

"A bottle of water comin' up." Alice said as she turned around and took a bottle of water that was stored in one of the store fridges, then placed it in the bag and gave it to the other woman. After she was given the money and put it in the register, she was now ready to leave. As she made her way around the counter, the other woman wanted Alice to help show her around Elysia. She already knew right from the first glance she wasn't from here, but she already had her own plans for the rest of the weekend.
With a casual shrug, she nodded her head. "Sure, I don't mind showing a noobie around." Alice said, smiling. "Just go wait outside for me for a few seconds. I got to lock this place up." She said. After the other woman would step outside, she would just look around to see no one was hiding inside before she stepped out, locked the door, and pulled down the metal roller blinds.
Alice turned around to the woman and nudged her chin at her. "Alright, let's go." She said as she took the initiative to walk. "Just wondering, since it doesn't look like you're around here, mind asking me where you're really from?" She asked.

Kaila complied with the blonde woman and stepped outside. While Kaila waited outside, she opened her back to take out her sandwich and slightly unwrap it to take a quick bite of it. Kaila sighed in glee as she munched on her sandwich. Of course while Silvaria's sandwiches are delicious as always, this sandwich tasted... like home. Whatever that meant, it just tasted different while still upholding a delicious value.
When the blonde woman locked up the store, she tagged along right beside her as she followed her. Kaila couldn't help but smirk at the blonde woman's question as she finished her bite. "The one and only Silvaria, of course~!" She cheered with a childish wink. Silvaria was her home, it was in her blood, and it was apart of who she was and she wasn't afraid to make it known.
"And by your looks, I'm assuming I'm also dealing with another fellow beautiful Silvarian?" She asked while smiling at the blonde woman, referring to her rather fashionable outfit that didn't look local.

Alice chuckled at the other woman as she hid some of her smile with her fist. "Should've known. No wonder you look like someone who'd love to be pampered 24/7." She teased. Compared to Venterra, or really any other place in Regnum besides Venterra, Silvaria was heaven but also had the snobbiest nobles.
She hasn't made any trips outside of Venterra when she still had her alligence tied to Regnum nor when she escaped to Elysia. She doesn't know what Silvaria was like, but based on talking to relatives from there, they were all very demanding, secretive, and know how to get their way. To Alice, they were the softer versions of Veterrans.
Alice shook her head with another chuckle. "Nope, Venterra, also known as the tougher version of Silvaria and where the REAL grown have their talks." She teasd with a wink. "So tell me, what's a fine girl like yourself doing out here in a place like Elysia? I'm surprised a Silvarian could even travel outside their homeland." She said with another chuckle.

Kaila snickered when the blonde woman called her pampered and even went as far as to try and downgrade Silvaria wit Venterra. She'll have to give it to her though, Venterra had a dangerous environment in terms of community and weather compared to the other flowers of Regnum. "You got me there. Being pampered is a special skill of ours. Though with someone as tough as a Venterran like yourself, I wouldn't mind being roughened up." She cooed with a wink and a flirtatious smile.
"I just felt like traveling over here. Seeing what life was like here. And I must say, I'm actually amazed with how cozy and... nostalgic Elysia is. Not to mention a lot cheaper than what goes on in Silvaria." She said with a giggle.
Kaila took another bite of her sandwich before she asked her question. "So I suppose I can return the question to you: what's someone from Venterra out here in a place like Elysia?"

Alice gave the other woman a sly smile which grew bigger as she shoved both hands in her pants pockets. "Trust me, I'll make sure to ruin every single part of you." She returned the flirtatious remark with a wink of her own. This woman was shameless and a noble at that. She didn't even have to ask if she were, all Alice had to do was to just take a good look of her outfit, notice her behavior, and make her mark.
"Wow. I thought Silvaria WAS your vacation spot." She teased again while chuckling. Someday she'd want to visit Silvaria, but with the gang of vampires that attacked her and her family and found out that she and her sister are still alive, she wouldn't want to take the chances of walking around with a bounty that was still on her head. For all she knew, they could be looking for her in Silvaria right now.
Alice made a casual shrug as she looked away for a moment before looking back at the other woman. "Honestly? Had to run away. Not because of the environment, 'cause trust me, the majority of us Venterrans knows how to hand someone's ass to them when they don't have it on but..." She stopped for a second to take a deep breath before she continued.
"Let's just say in a place like Venterra... nobility is a gift and a curse. People mess with the wrong crowd and think they can get cocky when said wrong crowd doesn't fight back until they do and take your life as payback. That's what happened with my parents and almost to my sister and I. It's how... my sister and I lost every bit of our humanity." Alice described.

Kaila burst out into a series of giggles at the blonde woman returning the remarks. Oh, this woman was a riot and she liked it. "Well!" She said with an amused tone. "I never knew Venterrans could be so direct like us Silvarians. Looks like I might just have to step my game up." She continued as her smirk was still in tact.
But her smirk faded away as the blonde woman began to explain why she came to Elysia. What stuck out to her way that this blonde woman "lost her humanity". She quietly gasped to herself as her eyes widen in what she thought of realization of what the blonde woman was talking about. If she was right, then these two might have something in common.
"I don't mean to be so abrupt, but is there a place we can take this conversation in a more... private setting?" Kaila asked.

"Oh, already trying to go to home base I see." Alice snickered at the other woman. She was honestly more confused to why she wanted to take this conversation to somewhere more discreet. Nevertheless, Alice was willing to provide a more private location. "Sure, we can go to my house. We're like, three minutes away anyway. Hope your feet don't hurt by then, princess." She teased again.
After those three minutes, the two women would arrive in front of a farmhouse in a Greco-Roman style in a middle of a large field of grass and a barn just a few yards away. Alice unlocked the door and entered into her home and took off her shoes, introducing her to a very cozy setting. "Don't forget to take off your shoes. I like to keep this house clean." She said.
Alice would gesture Kaila to the other couch that Alice already walked in front of across from it. "Make yourself comfy." She spoke when she took a seat. "Sooooo tell me, why did you really want to come to take things in a more private manner?" She asked while crossing her arms and laying back on the couch.

"Please, I'll make you carry me if my legs start to cramp. And hey, you're the one that suggested that we go to your house, so who's really the one trying to get to home base?" Kaila smiled. While they would walk to the blonde woman's house, Kaila would just continue to eat her sandwich and occasionally take some sips of her water bottle.
Arriving into her home and taking off her heels to put them to the side, Kaila threw herself onto the sofa that was across the blonde woman's, both feet on the cushions and making a relaxed sigh. "Sorry, my feet got sore when we arrived. You did say to get myself comfortable... soooooo..." She said with a wink.
"But on a more serious note... I'm curious. Who killed your parents and tried to kill you and your sister?" Kaila asked, getting back on track.

Alice just stared at the other woman when she decided to lay down on her couch with a blank expression. Well she did say to get comfortable, so perhaps she should have expected something like this to happen. She didn't have on her shoes, so she wasn't too worried if the couch would get dirty. "Aren't you a cheeky little girl?" She smirked at the other woman, taking her seat across from her and crossed a leg over the other to get herself comfortable.
The conversation switched back to the gang that attacked Alice, raising an eyebrow in response to the curiosity that the other woman displayed. Alice made a scoff as she threw up her shoulders and flashed a tired smile. "Hell if I know. My sister and I never knew who worked with my parents. We never knew what their plans were. We were just kids who would always be kids. We didn't know who attacked us except for our parents... who're dead." She sighed.
"...But I do recall some of them having this tattoo planted on their shoulders... and some had it on other parts of their body. Like the head of a swan in a circle or something like that." Alice explained as she recalled the gang members that attacked her that day.
"It's... a long story to go over from the aftermath. But let's just say we were given a second chance to become something else other than being human." She said.
