âYES! I want that dress so so so so so badly,â Dasha giggled remembering the newest attire. âI canât wait until it comes out for the general publicâ ten more days~â Or maybe even sooner depending on how much money she could beg out of her mother to get it ordered before anyone else. As much as Dasha insisted that she was a strong independent woman, there were still some things that she could get by remaining at least somewhat involved in family affairs. Heh.
At the small gesture to Marcelineâs heels, Dasha couldnât help but smirk a bit at her choice of shoes that day. Lavish as they were, heels werenât always functional especially outside. The boots that she wore for military purposes were far better suited for that. Sadly, kind of, heh.
Still, the mention of staying in the princessesâ castle had Dashaâs mind running over the lavish nature of it. Goddess, sheâd probably have to wear her natural military uniform there rather than a beautiful dress and heels. It almost made her sad to think about. Maybe if the princess held a ball and she could go in what she liked thenâŠ. Yes. That would be nice.
A curious look came to Dashaâs eyes as Marceline showed what magic she had. Huh⊠That was interesting. A natural talent for it⊠Dasha nodded a little. Certain species of anything had natural talent for thingsâ though that made her wonder just what the girl was now, actually. âInterestingâŠâ she admitted. The mention of other things had Dasha immediately raising coffee to her lips again. âSorry if this is a little to personal but.. are you human? Iâm of the faeâ if that wasnât a bit obviousâŠâ she shifted a little and allowed one of her wings to raise from its place at her back. âThough I suppose even with my wings, people could mistake me for an animal shifter or something along those lines.â

Giggling even louder at how eager Dasha suddenly got, Marceline chimed in with some eagerness of her own. "I'm not so eager on that one but there's this fantastical dress from...oooh what was his name..." She snapped her fingers trying to think of it, but eventually gave in. "Oh it's the hardly pronouncable one. I think they got it from the Eldritch word for eternity or something. Anyway! The new dress in that line, they only showed it last week but I think you'd really be into it. It mixes a sort of battle armor look with magical wings for the dress skirt? They supposedly shift and flex depending on your own motions, I think it looks very unique. My friends have been saying the armor plating they mixed in looks ugly but I very much love the whole battle-shique look? I'm not one for battle of course, but it's soooo beautiful...~"
At the question of her race, Marceline didn't flinch much. It was a question that had come before and she smiled a little rather than shy away. "No no, I'm a similar species but not quite." She smiled at the display of the wings then rested a hand on herself. "I'm of one of the angel races. Some of us have feathery wings, halos, or other...odd abnormalities." The biblical angels, having lion heads and odd serpent features often threw her for a loop when dining with the extended family. "But we're practically just long lived humans. One in five of us shimmers a bit but none of my direct family are so lucky. Typically we're adept at holy magic, but seems I got the gross luck huh?"

Dashaâs eyes were aglow as Marceline indulged her interests. A new dress that incorporated the aesthetics of armor? She had to wonder if maybe she could replace it with some armor sets depending on what she was doing. She would definitely have to look into it. âThat sounds amazing,â she admitted with a goofy smile upon her features.
As things settled again and a different conversation took to the forefront, however, Dasha found her attention calming and focusing anew as well. Something similar to a human⊠Well, that made sense. She didnât seem to have any extra appendages that would hint at her origins. Of an angel race⊠Oooh. A curious look flickered in Dashaâs eyes as she sort of looked over Marceline anew. âI seeâŠâ she spoke a bit quieter now.
A small nod was given to the mention of long-lived humans. That seemed to be the case for most humanoids in one form or another. Holy magic, she had heard of it, read a little about it for school, and understood it about as well as one could under those parameters. âI see⊠thatâs really⊠beautiful really,â she admitted.

Smiling wide, glad the other woman also liked the battle chique though not all that surprised given her vocation (though there was always a chance she liked to seperate her fashion and uniform periods entirely). She'd have to think to maybe stick in touch with this girl even if only to gossip and squeal over the latest fashion lines, especially from the battle chique range.
Though, with the compliment she got, she blushed a little, chuckling nervously before making a potential correction. "T-to be clear my magic isn't holy magic...despite my race I'm not very attuned to it myself. I drew the short straw and got this..." She put her hands together, then drew them apart, a green glob forming in the air between them, swirling about itself like a miniature little planet saturn. "So...not exactly holy.."

Color touched Dashaâs features as Marceline spoke. âOh Iâ right,â she mumbled nodding her head briefly. Blue eyes watched more of the magic on display before her, yet she couldnât help but look at it a bit differently. Not exactly holy but⊠But special, perhaps, was the word Dasha was now thinking of. Very interesting was what she settled on.
Dasha took a slow sip from her coffee only to realize she had come to the end of it. âOhââ She supposed they had been sitting there conversing for a while now hadnât they? She probably needed to continue on her patrols. Taking a few bites of the scone she had not touched until then, she straightened some. âMaybe we can practice magic together some time⊠or go shopping when Iâm off work,â she smirked a little belatedly. âIf⊠you wanted to, anyways?â It was hard to deny that she felt very comfortable around this girl.

Color touched Marcelineâs own cheeks as Dasha realized what she herself was doing wasnât any form of holy magic. Her hands clasped together around the orb and spinning ring sheâd generated, letting out a tender sigh from her nose as she let it dissipated between her palms, leaving nothing where it once hovered in the air. âSorry, I didnât mean to embaress you with the correction or anythingâŠâ
She rubbed the back of her neck a little, having finished he food and just sipping casually at her drink right now, drumming her fingers along the edge of the cup, though lifting her eyes and easily feeling better when the woman seemed eager to meet again in the future. âO-oh, of course. You can keep me up to date on all the local fashion shows and I can keep you up to date on mine!~â She beamed a little at the very clear confirmation she was making a friend here, pulling her phone out of her purse and lifting it up. âHere, letâs exchange numbersâŠIâve ermâŠâ She cleared her throat with a blush. âIâve actually got a ticket to a fashion show this weekend? Iâm sure it wouldnât be difficult to get an extra ticket with my fatherâs connections?â
A bit too forward perhapsâŠ? She did quickly backpedal with a nervous smile. âO-of course a normal shopping trip is just as good, I just erâŠwell. A fashion show is never as good if you donât have someone to awe about it with later yeah?â

Dasha beamed a little as Marceline spoke. âWonderful~!â She needed more gal pals, and as much as she loves the military, it very rarely produced such people. At the mention of a phone, she quickly pulled out her own about to give out her own when Marceline pulled at her attention again.
âOh?â The weekend was so soon, but what did she have going on that weekend? Was she off? She was pretty sure she was off that weekend. Someone else had already taken that shift, so yeah. She was free. She would be bored if she didnât decide to go out, so this would be a great opportunity to seize andâ And why was she trying to justify herself to herself?
As Marceline started to backpedal, Dasha quickly cut in. âIâd love to go,â she admitted with a wider smile. âAnd Iâm pretty sure I have time too.â Flipping through her phone to her calendar, she was glad to find that she was right. She was off this week. âYes, I have the whole two days free,â she went on. âSo either one would be good.â She may have been a little too excited about such prospects, but whatever at that point.

Marceline beemed equally and would have eagerly swapped numbers if not for the fact theyâd got caught potentially arranging a day out over the weekend. With a giddy expression she rose from her seat when Dasha said sheâd be free and started to type into her phone, first rounding the table to share her number with Dasha, before immediately starting to text her father about supplying a ticket. âOh it will be on Sunday. At least, thatâs what I have tickets for. Theyâre presenting a battle chique line from Shandala. You know sheâs the one who made that fantastic phoenix themed dress last year? Apparently sheâs trying something new and I was soooo eager to see it in person.â
Realizing she may have been getting a little too excited, she put her phone away for a moment, not entirely sure how to approach her new friend, and settling on a firm but ecstatic handshake. âI really shouldnât keep you, but it was wonderful meeting a like mind such as yours. Hopefully Sunday will go well!~â

Swapping numbers with Marceline, Dasha set a simple message through âThis is Dasha Laskaâ before waiting on Marceline to text her father. This Sunday⊠âOoh,â Dasha quickly made a note in her calendar. âShandala? Oh my goddess, yes⊠I wonder what she could do to top that phoenix themeâŠâ Dasha had some ideas but absolutely no idea of how they would even begin to be executed. âI canât waitââ she admitted a little quieter.
At the offer of a handshake, Dasha fluidly took it and smiled. âItâs been wonderful to meet you as well~ Sounds greatâŠâ Releasing that hand, Dasha slowly stood, stretched, and threw her trash away before waving back to Marceline. She needed to get going. She really did, but she couldnât help but be excited about this. It was⊠so wonderful, heh. âTake care till then!â she called waving once more before heading off thereafter.

Giggling a little with her new friendâs own excitement, the idea of phoenix feathers with metal plating was in no way an idea she could mentally pull off but already- âIâm picturing some battle armor that almost catches fire in the right light. Sometimes I have to wonder if any of these are even practical, but Iâve definitely seen a few more experienced adventurers choosing fashion over practicality, so thereâs bound to be someone wearing it into combat!~â She smirked wide and leaned in to whisper back to that last comment. âMe either.~â
âAw the pleasure is all mine Miss Laska.~â She chimed back at the compliment, stepping back a little to sort of physically give Dasha more room to leave. Not wanting her to by any means, but certainly more openly prepared to let her go now that sheâd taken a step back. âOh I will. Look after yourself though! I wonât have you turning up in a dress full of sword holes!~â Her jovial tone hopefully said she was still joking, waving till Dasha seemed dedicated to her stride around the park on Patrol, Marceline herself sitting eagerly to type up a new text or two to make sure she got that spare ticket.
