Looking primarily human (most of the time), Sarah / Salem takes the form that was last wished for them by a previous master. This form is a woman more on the tall side with soft curves hiding a fair layer of muscle beneath the smooth looking flesh. The balance of proportions  is fair, not having overly exagerated legs, torso, arms, etc.

Having adjusted to this and many other forms over the years, Sarah / Salem's fashion sense and apparent 'presentation' can vary greatly from day to day. Some days appearing entirely feminine, other days suppressing those features with more typically 'boyish' clothes and suppressed curves. His hair will typically always back out to it'slower back length within days after cutting it, so shorter hairstyles are rare, though she can have one now and then.

As a hostess however she definitely takes a more feminine appearance for their work solely as a matter of profit focus.

Sarah / Salem typically has a positive outlook on life, finally being free from their life of servitude, even the servitude they perform now is approached more favorably. However, despite their positive nature they are certainly very self centered, not to say they won't do things for a friend, but their typical mindset is either desiring to be the center of attention, or a mentality of 'okay i'll do it once I figure out how I benefit from it.

Even with their typically positive view on life however, they can still find themselves being very lethargic when left alone, or even in the presence of friends if they are not mentally engaged in an activity. He can typically be found lazing about in old clothes in his home, just frankly enjoying the fact he has the capacity to do this without being stuck in a lamp.

While he does work as a hostess, someone taking too much control of him is easily a form of a trigger, and her reaction is typically harsh and sharp. He needs to be in control of any situation, and as such would refuse to work under anyone in an official capacity. Doing a job for extra cash is fine, but the idea of a permanent position under a boss is not comfortable in the slightest.

A genie of the lamp, Sarah / Salem has lived a long life and does not remember a lot of it. Long stretches of time with...well, no sense of time, have made it difficult to keep track of prior masters, or even their own origins. In truth they are not even sure if they are a native or if their lamp had fell into the world of the world tree before being found by a new master. Their past matters very little to them however, as their life as a whole was very monotonous in the role of a genie. Sometimes they would spice it up, try to be playful and eccentric. Some stretches they would be manipulative and bend the words of a wish. Others lazy, just wanting to get it over with so they could move onto the next.

They have even lost a strong sense of their self, as prior masters have wished them into different forms. The power of their own wishes can only be undone by another wish, and as such he has spent the periods of several masters at a time as a man, woman, child, elder creatures their master felt they could respect more. Once even a chinese style dragon, and for a weird while, as a stuffed animal. That was weird. That master was odd. He was actually thankful to be wished into another form after that.

As such, he just developed a bored sense of self. Man, woman, tall, short, whatever. So long as he was alive and not in agony his form mattered little, and she'd often just try her best to see some joy in a new form they had to take in it's uniqueness.

Eventually of course, servitude has it's end, and a rather generous master wished the genie free. Unsure what to do with their freedom at first, his thanks was very lackluster. A rather awkward hug and, a little too used to old habits, the genie simply offered to serve the master until they passed. It was a nice life, they were not mistreated or abused in their servitude as they may have been as a genie, and while not realizing it still, were perhaps treated more as a friend than not.

When the master finally passed however, Salem / Sarah finally needed to take in the world around them and see what they wanted to do. For a brief period, they still had access to a lot of their magic, using it to create an extravegent home to enjoy the pleasures humans had made him. With a few more extravegent uses however, the Genie's remaining store of magic faded away and while still with immense power, the natural control she had of it, the power to think, and anything would become reality, was lost.

She was left with many extravegent things, but the neccessities, food, companionship, money in general were not things she had access to. As such, he turned his new building into a place of work for something he had experience in, using one of the few magics he was quick to re-learn. A hostess club. While other girls do now work there, the Genie typically creates copies of herself to treat those who attend.
