Face Claim | RWBY - Winter Schnee as Dasha Laska
Race | Seelie Faerie | |
Fae encompass a massive group of individuals. Dashaâs style of Fae are humanoid aside from a certain set of wings. Hers are dragon-fly like aside form being massive and proportional to her own body. The Seelie part of the name refers to Dashaâs political alliance than her actual race. She is a Fae that values order and justice more than chaos and pranks. She stands mostly on the Light side of her Court for almost all controversies.
Appearance | ||
Height: 5'10'' (178) | Build: Athletic Dasha is a tall slim muscular individual. Some muscles are bulkier than others, but as a fae sheâs pretty lean overall. She has very high vaguely chiseled features including her face. Itâs this sharpness and that her ears come to an ever slight point that reflects her fae heritageâ and her dragon-fly style light blue wings. Changing with the seasons, Dashaâs skin ranges in color from a medium hue to something tanner/darker. She has quite a few scars from different incidents over the years but nothing too noticeable. She does quite a bit to cover up some of the roughness. Her features may be a bit weathered, but her makeup skill is on point. Her hands may be callus, but her finger nails are always manicured. The small holes in her ear lobes are always filled with studs if not hanging earrings. Dashaâs eyes are incredibly blue, a sky blue or royal blue. They are large and expressive. Her white-grey-vaguely-blueish hair has a natural wave to it that curls ever so slightly at the ends. She almost always has either super long hair that she has up in a bun or chopped short hair that barely reaches the back of her neck in the back and to her collar bone in the front. It really depends on how much she wants to deal with at any given time. Fashion is a big part of Dasha. She loves shopping, dressing up, and âbeing beautifulâ. While she does wear a uniform and armor when on the job, she can be seen in all manner of dress on her off days. A sleek black tank-top and jeans? A possibility. A ball gown and all the trappings? Just as possible. All of this can also be an expression of her mood.
Personality | ||
âIntenseâ is the word most use to describe Dasha. Sheâs a person who usually knows what she wants and will stop at nothing to get it. Her stubbornness and ambition are housed in natural self-confidence and pride. Dasha sees herself as one of the best and will not bow for anything less. Sheâs articulate but blunt saying what she means and preferring to hurt anotherâs feelings than beat around the bush. There are some exceptions to this, namely in cases such as with Nikolai and her other self-appointed siblings. However, most people donât fall into this category. âFree-spirited butâŠâ is another phrase that many use when describing Dasha. She is very free-spirited, a person that wants to charter her own path and do things her own way. However, almost in direct opposition to this, Dasha is very structured, organized, and practiced. She does like a lot of order in her life as it gives her a sense of personal control that may or may not be valid in many ways. The military is something she values highly as a necessity, and she takes personal value in being a part of it even when it does limit some of her freedoms. She chose it, so itâs fine. She wonât go out of her way to help someone trying to seek their personal freedom, but she does find it admirable and relatable. A good trait. âLoyal?!â is what the military considers Dasha. While she may be somewhat estranged from her family and even some of her friends on the outside, her loyalty to the military and her superiors as a whole is undisputed. She will always choose justice, and that is exactly what she sees in the military. Even when it may not be right, and there are things that she doesnât agree with, Dasha is fiercely loyal to the causes she inserts herself into. Conflicted is something that Dasha tries not to be. It is something she loathes and fears dealing with. Personally, she would rather be black and white than any shade of grey because it means that there is no great way. Unfortunately for Dasha, there is a lot of the world that is grey. It tends to stress her out exponentially more than other people, and sheâs never really learned how to cope, often going for one extreme or the other rather than being forced to deal somewhere in the middle. This makes relationships in specific sometimes very difficult for her. People are complex, and Dasha would rather them not be. Simplicity, in that sense, is something Dasha values deeply. She likes things that are simple, easy, and straightforward to enjoy. Sheâs a very physically active person and loves to run and climb. Her connection with nature is an intrinsic part of her, and she tends to relish being outdoors than confined to the indoors. She also loves spas and all manner of relaxing in the same vein. Flight is something she canât even put to words, really. Itâs wonderful.
History | ||
Iris was a low ranked noble of the Regnum court but a high ranked noble of the Fae court. She held her position highly and worked well by herself for many years. Feliks was low ranked noble of the Regnum court and a low ranked noble of the Fae court. He really shouldnât have caught Irisâs eye exactly, but he was cute and sweet and very genuine. A glorious wedding occurred, and soon enough they had the twins Dasha and Nikolai. Right after that, Iris fell into postpartum depression, and Feliks was somewhat absent, valuing nature and his traveling habits more than always being there for his family. Growing up, Dasha and Nik were very close. Twins, friends, and partners in crime made up just a few of the roles they played out in those early days. Dasha was always the more outgoing, but Nik had his sneaky moments for sure. They brought all kinds of hell as children tend to do especially with less than present parents. They learned magic and other forms of schooling from private staff and others brought in making them more isolated in the process. Dasha had a few friends on the outside, children of the servantsâ and even a few other noble children, but her general reckless personality could rub plenty of strangers the wrong way. She dreamed of running away and being an adventurer very early in life. What kept her there, perhaps, was Nik only. Years after the twins, their mother was pregnant again and excited for this pregnancy. She kept it to term (something she had been struggling with since having them), and little Ilya was born soon enough. The love, affection, and warmth that Ilya received, however, made Dasha jealous. Nikolai was the only boy and had at least some specialized attention, but Dasha was one of two girls with one of them clearly being favored. She began to tease and torment Ilya relentlessly and enjoyed when Nik joined in. However, it always felt like their mother was favoring Ilya in one form or another. Dasha sought to put distance between her and everyone, sometimes wishing to just run away into the snowy abyss that their father often went to. She spent as much time as she could going out with their father to learn to camp and hunt and any number of other woodly activities. However, she still had âschoolâ to finish and was frustrated when forced to come back. It was an off-handed comment from Alex, one of the servantsâ children, that gave Dasha the idea to enlist in the Regnum military. Her parents couldnât really complain if she was fighting for and protecting her nation, could they? Sheâd also get the freedom that she desired in the form of travel and separation. Nik didnât like it, but Dasha had already made up her mind. She promised to come home now and again, but if work took her away for too long, what was she going to do? Argue with them, hah. The knights turned out to be everything Dasha wanted and more. It had a certain structure that she liked yet enough freedom that she could be happy. She became stronger, faster, more combat oriented, and enjoyed every minute of it. On happenstance she was put in Alexâs squad which was nice too. She came homeâ just not that often, usually only at the behest of Nik specifically. She had grown enough to where the requests of anyone else could earn an eye-roll, but Nik was just⊠Nik. Ugh. So far, she has been very active in that for the last few years. Her goals are mostly to climb rank and become a general in time of her own volition. She doesnât want any help from her noble status to influence her own course in lifeâ even if some extra money on hand has always fed her rather terrible shopping addiction. |
