“Hella!” Lucien grinned. Standing still as Alice climbed on, Lucien turned once she’d sat down. “Oh yeh? Don’t worry then, I’ll make it noiiiice ‘n smooth then.” He winked before turning forward again. All four legs started to move in fluid unison, not too fast as was asked, but not a trot that could be jarring. Turning out of the immediate flowers as not to crush them, Lucien moved into a bit faster of a walk. The colors of the flowers started to blend together some as they moved, and the sounds of the singing flowers started to become distant.
“Man it’s beautiful out ‘ere today…” Lucien commented, his gaze staring upwards and reflecting the sky above very briefly. “Nature’z great ain’t it?” Looking back, he flashed a smile at Alice again.

This wasn't so bad, it did feel like riding a horse except it was more of half human half horse. It was actually pretty nice if she had to be honest. Not too fast to the point where she couldn't open her eyes, just the pace she liked it. Alice still decided to hold onto Lucien just for the sake of her safety and not falling off of Lucien. "Not going to lie, it's actually pretty nice. Especially when you're on a centaur who gives people rides." She said as she looked around the garden.
"Is it ever so often you give people rides around the garden?" Alice asked with a small chuckle.

Lucien grinned a bit. “Heh, well I haven’t been a centaur that long…” he admitted glancing back at Alice and offering a small smile. A sparkling light seemed to shine in those yellow eyes of his as he looked back. Was it a trick of the light or? No, Lucien was using his aura sight to assure himself he was on the right track and wouldn’t step on any flowers unnecessarily. A 360 view made things so much easier. “Used to be a human actually—“ A pause. “A special one by my world’s standards but…” He shrugged a little. “Felt like I’d get more into the world ‘f I changed with it…” he admitted a little quieter.

Alice's eyes flickered into astonishment when Lucien revealed he used to be human. That was the third person -- her sister of course and another certain woman who went through a similar and unfortunate situation as Alice and her sister -- that was once a full born human. "Hey... it's fine." Alice spoke with a hushed tone and a concerned expression over her face. "I used to be human too. The same thing with my sister as well and another person I know. So I... at least understand where you come from." She said.
"So, what or, who, rather made you a centaur?" Alice asked.

The sudden hushed and concerned tone had Lucien blinking a couple of times. The way Alice’s aura had swayed was something he had seen from those dealing with stress. Oops… Er. Oh. She too had used to be human along with her sister and another person? Oh, wow. Huh. What was she if not human? He didn’t see anything too different in her form or aura, but that hardly meant anything when he was still struggling to understand the aura of this world and how it different from his old one.
“I… well, actually me?” Lucien offered a small awkward smile. “There’s this shop in… ah.. I forget which town city thing that sells a shortcake that changes yer race-species thing…” Folding one arm over the other, he took in a slower breath and smiled. “It was hella expensive, but… I stopped feeling… weird in this place? The World Tree? At least a lil…” A change in form and a change in identity, heh.

Alice gave a puzzled look with a hint of concern still on it. "Wait... you CHANGED your race to... fit in?" She asked. It was one thing to shift from human to an entirely other race if one had gotten maybe bitten by said other race. That she can at least get. But to change a race just for the sake of fitting in? "You do there's some humans in this world, right? Even some with or without powers? You would've fit in regardless, anyway!" She pointed out. Though she never knew there was such a thing to change races. She could go look for it and go back to being a human as much she yearned for her humanity, but deep down something told her that it wouldn't be worth it.

Lucien blinked at Alice’s sudden tone of voice. “Yeh?” he ask-stated back at her clarification. Yes, he had changed his own race. Yes, he had done so of his own free volition. At the follow up question, Lucien nodded a bit. “Yeah, I met a few…”
He paused as though trying to find a word or two. “But when I first came ‘ere, I came here with my best friend ‘n… her boyfriend.” A weird laugh came and went from Lucien. “And Sera, my bestie, turned into a succumbs…” He smiled a little softer. “Kinda just… wanted to relate to her a lil more… among other things…” He blinked a couple of times and shrugged his shoulders. “Besides, it’s made it easier with my sight…It was really blinding when I first got ‘ere hahahah.”

"Well I sure as hell wouldn't want to relate to someone if it meant sacrificing any humanity in me." Alice said with a chuckle, a little bit out of spite. She didn't mind being what she was now if only if she didn't get it near death and lost her parents in the process. It took her a while to get used to it before she grudgingly accepted her fate. If she did managed to change back into a human, it wasn't even close to enough to bring back her parents no matter how much she hoped for it.
"I'm not trying to judge you or anything. Hell if it makes you happy, then sure be happy. I just find it a little funny you have to change a large part of you to fit in." She said.

A small, silly grin flashed across Lucien’s features as Alice spoke. He couldn’t really describe why he did it any better than he already had, so that was that yeah? Still, his features relaxed some as she assured him she wasn’t trying to judge him. The mention of a large part of him, however, had him blinking a bit. “I mean…”
Glancing forward and then upwards, Lucien shrugged. “I guess it’s kinda a big part of me?” Another shrug of shoulders was given. “But I’ve still got aura sight— er an older power ‘f mine I had before— so…” Lucien laughed a bit at considered that. He had half expected to give it up during the change and just didn’t for some reason. Maybe it was because Centaurs were creatures distinctly of nature, and aura was a type of power associated with life and nature. Maybe there was no reason to it at all. Lucien didn’t know. “Ya know what that is by chance?” Lucien realize-asked after the fact.
