Aeron thought for a moment. "W-well, we don't have anything better to do now, don't we? Perhaps we can find her around these parts. I sincerely hope she did not get into trouble. You two don't seem to be from around these parts eh?" The Aigan was fairly certain Lucien was an outsider now. All the weird words he kept saying and the things he kept reerencing. Perhaps those where thing of his native home.
"There are alot of bad things in a forest like this one, ranging from the most innocent looking plants to the most brutal of creatures. Lethal poisons, nauseous gasses...Nature is a great killer." The Aigan instructed. "I do not think we will find her underwater, but if we really need to go check the lake I'd really suggest you to let me in your lungs. You know. Being able to breathe underwater might be useful if we really need to go for a deep dive around these parts.
“Ah er, yeh, ‘m from a different world… of Pokemon ‘n stuff,” Lucien smiled a bit before reaching back to rub the back of his nec- oh what was up with his hair now. That was a weird feeling. Ok, ok, never mind. “Mostly humans ‘n the creatures called Pokemon.” That was… still such a strange thing for him to think or say out loud. Where he was from, they were everywhere, and yet here they were not…
The mention of all the threats the forest could bring earned a small nod. Lucien had already experienced Vervitae’s mess of forest and monsters, and nothing so far in Silvaria had even come close. Still, that didn’t mean he was going to go tromping through there recklessly. The mention of the lake made Lucien fidget again. Hhhhhh.
“Yeh, I dun think she’d be in the lake probably, she’s a Grass type.” As if that meant anything to this creature. Er, yeah. “Pokemon have Types that kinda dictate what they are strong and weak against, with Water liking Water ‘n stuff like that. She’d… probably be in the grasses, hopefully…” Baring she didn’t get transformed into a wildly different creature in the process of everything. Sera had taken on features but was wholely the same, though, so he could be hopeful.
"Well then. Use your...thing then no?" Aeron replied, not really understanding this guy's actions. Why would he ask him where his friend thing was if he had the power to look for her already?
Then there he went again with the incomprenhensible gibberish. "UUh. I...I still can't figure out a single thing you're saying." Aeron replied. "Water likes water and grass is grass?" He mumbled, genuinely lost about all the weird concepts. "Is this some kind of weird horse magic you do?" The little Aigan asked, about as confused as before. "Is Pokemon the activation word? Hm...doesn't sould too magicky. I wonder what language is that."
Some kind of weird horse magic? Hah? Is Pokemon the activation word? Hahahahah. Oh no. Lucien shook his head a couple of times trying to keep the laugh in, but really he just couldn’t. Pokemon are kinda like animals with powers… He guessed was the best way to describe that. They just have a lot of glaring strengths and weaknesses… and kinda have stuff like magic… But it wasn’t exactly magic, right? Lucien didn’t think so. Not magic like here, at least.
These thoughts trailed off, however, as Lucien began to settle once more. Drawing in his focus and his mind’s eye, he began to sense the aura’s in the area. All too quickly, the world around him turned into a sea of blues and greens. Focusing further, however, Lucien could see the variety of colors in each. There was a certain way they flowed and a pattern that they followed as well. Tree and plant aura tended to sway ever so subtly while animals that lived in them had bright busts of life as they went about their day. Focusing further, Lucien searched out the particular color pattern of Alamea, on the rocks, in the trees, even over the water.
Lucien took in a breath and stretched. Already, he was quickly turning to trot in another direction, somewhere deeper into the conifer. More animals were moving around now as they passed in a swirl of colors. Lucien had gotten used to it over the years… who knew how Aeron was taking all this sight, though.
"Whoah." Aeron replied, not sure how to process the sixth sense kinda deal the centaur had going on for him. "This is so weird..."
He squeezed tighter onto the half horse, increasing the strength of his bond with Lucien, trying to see if he could enhance that vision too. "S-so...how is your bestie like? Anything particular she could be doing right now?" He asked.
Lucien could tell Aeron was curious, but not brave enough to ask the centaur to share his memories with him. He didn't seem to like wiggling into people's thoughts all that much, but if they wanted to find the lurantis, both of them needed to know as much on her as possible. Two minds are always better than one anyway.
A small half-laugh came and went from Lucien. “Ya know I didn’t even know normal people couldn’t see like this for a long time,” he admitted, now moving quickly through the area. The rush of color would have normally blinded a person, and yet Lucien had had it on since birth. It had been years before he could turn it off, and it was arguably more weird for the world not to be a flurry of life than it was to be.
The thought of what Alamea could be doing had Lucien’s eyebrows furrowing. He knew what she liked to do. She liked climbing trees and finding holes to nest in. She liked burrowing into Lucien’s (and other’s) belongings. She liked practicing her dance steps and showing off her moves. What could she be doing right then, though? In a foreign world with rules that didn’t make a lot of sense? Surviving… His stomach flipped over as he considered that. If she’s even here… She’d ….I’d hope she’d be waiting for me… Would she, though? Or would she have integrated so readily into this place that it didn’t even matter anymore? That he didn’t even matter anymore.
"Soooo...anything yet?" Aeron inqured still really thrown off by the weird lightshow. "How do you even move around like this? All the blurry stuff moving around..."
The Aigan couldn't really do much else but just tag along for the ride, literally. While he did somewhat want to help the guy find that weird...bug thing he called partner, he couldn't really do anything at all if he was so disoriented by the guy's weird way of looking at things. The only thing he could at least try to do is to use his hearing. Perhaps any bushy sound could hide something. Or someone. Perhaps it would be best looking somewhere around water? Questions questions.
“Not yet…” Lucien mumbled weakly as he continued to look around. “Magic I guess…” he half laughed at the question only to pause as he remembered that magic was very much a thing in this reality. “And a lotta focus…” Speaking of focus, had his hearing heightened as well? He wasn’t sure. Hell, he’d take it in this search right then! He’d take anything!
A couple of hours passed before Lucien finally slowed. Even with Aeon’s powers heightening his powers, Lucien was still aware exhaustion was a thing. Coming to stop by a tree, he rested sideways on it and let out a deep sigh. “Damn…. Damn….. even with this I…” he muttered a couple of times under his breath, his hand gripping hard onto the tree branch, hard enough to nearly break it. “Ugh, sorry for the wild goose chase I guess….” he sighed to Aeon thereafter.
Lucien body melted as Aeron peeled himself off of his body to let the guy take in some fresh air and rest up. The little slime ball curled up on the guys's shoulder, against Lucien's neck.
"It's fine. Not that I had anything else to do around here. I'm sorry we couldnt find your friend. Perhaps she is safe and sound somewhere else." The Aigan concluded. They pretty much looked around the entire forest with the guy's weird color vision thing and nothing. Not a single puff of color remotely close to Lucien's mental image of his pal.
"Hmmm...say, LuLu." Aeron chirped after a minute of silence. "Can I like...borrow your body for a little bit?" He asked, innocently, somewhat eager. "I promise I am not going to suck you dry or anything. I just wanna feel how it is to be...well whatever you are."
The little slime wiggled a little on the spot. "Gimme....hmmn...just three hours. Three hours and I am satisfied. In exchange for it I'll do whatever you want me to do afterwards. Deal?" He proposed, hoping the guy would accept and share his body with him. Three hours would be more than enough to find someone else to latch onto when the time was up. Plus he could play around a little with the guy's anatomy and learn some stuff.
Lucien’s yellow eye flickered sideways to the tiny blob now on his shoulder. A small smile came to his features as he was assured it was fine, but a sigh escaped from him right after that. He hoped she was safe and sound somewhere else. He hoped maybe he had just been looking in the wrong flower. He wouldn’t give up. Not yet.
The question caused Lucien to blink a couple of times. “Huh?” What did he want with his body? Feel what it’s like to be a centaur… Oh, oh. Yeah. He had mentioned that. “Three hours?” he echoed. Well, that was about the time that he had used the extra power so… And do whatever I want after? Oh yeah? A small smirk curled on Lucien’s features. “Yeah? Ok… deal.” What could go wrong?
Aeron giggled happily as he jumped at Lucien's face like a facehugger would, engulfing the centaur in soft pink all over. As he merged with his new host, Lucien's muscles started puffing out at first, then grow grow and grow until they were twice the size of their normal. Aeron stretched around, flexing their biceps lightly. "Sorry, but I don't want no wimpy host, I like em...either sleek or chunky. Okay. Cool stuff done. Now to figure out...how to walk like this."
The Aigan wobbled some uneasy steps forward, not really used to the weird center of balance. "Man, have you always been like this? Doesn't it feel weird to you to have like...four legs instead of two? Also, your butt is way back there..."
That strange giggle set of a confused alarm bell in Lucien’s head, but he wouldn’t really get a chance to back up and rethink this offer. Suddenly, he was merging with the Aigan again, and this time, he was aware of just how much force was involved. Wait- wait holy fuck? What was- what was happening? Holy fuck? He could feel himself stretch and bulk up puffing beyond his normal thin frame.
“W-woah…” As they stretched, Lucien was aware of how his muscles rolled together with Aerons. “Da-dang???” Chunky huh? Heh, he guessed he could get used to this for a while? How’s this gonna affect me later?? He had to wonder.
As they started moving, Luci couldn’t help but laugh. “I used to but ya get used to it pretty quick, just walk yeh….” It was a lot easier to move than to just stand still when like that. Even if Lucien had gotten used to that as well with some time.
Aeron giggled, puffing up further. "Ah man! There's so much unused potential here, what a waste!" He joked, though seemingly enjoying turning Lucien super buff without any particular reason."
It took the Aigan a few minutes to gather his balance, but once that was done, off he went. There was so much he could explore with a body like that one and only three hours of complete control. Arriving to a weird cave, the Aigan stopped his trotting and peaked his head inside. The entrace was blocked by a large boulder, too tight for Lucien's ripped body...or was it.
"Hm..." Aeron pondered how to approach the situation. He wanted in, but he didn't want to 'deflate'. If anything, he was curious to see if he could force Lucien to get even more ripped. Approaching the entrance, he began examining the boulder. "Uh. Well. Extremis malis, extrema remedia." He declared. He really wanted inside that cave for some reason and he wasn't going to stop just because he now had a super hot stallion body.
