the delivery girl
|Birthday||August 21, 2000|
|Face Claim||Granblue Fantasy - Mary as Oralie Lister|
|Oralie very much resembles a human until she shows her shark teeth conjures her wings, which are four slender, bright orange spears of enchanted light that hover over her shoulderblades. They don't look reliable, but they carry her easily since she weighs the same as a feather. She also tends to shed orange glitter wherever she goes—faerie dust, they call it.|
Height: 4'9" | Build: Slim
Oralie has a youthful air about her that often gets her mistaken for a child, an impression that is not at all helped by her height. She has pointed facial features, teeth, and ears, though it's hard to tell the latter from her unruly mane of auburn hair that cascades down to the small of her back. She always wears a megawatt smile. She even smiles when she sleeps.
Oralie seems impervious to cold, because she dresses like it's always summer. Her signature outfit is an orange and white striped bikini top (not that she has any curves to show off) and a skirt looped with two thick, clunky belts. She has her messenger uniform on over this ensemble, which consists of a sky-blue coat, cap (flight goggles inluded), and a huge leather messenger bag embossed with the four-winged logo of Lister delivery.
Oralie is cheerful, relentlessly so. She's in good spirits no matter what the circumstance, which is all fun and games until she's plopped into a situation that's objectively bleak, like a funeral. Then her enthusiasm gets kind of disturbing. Oralie is one hell of a cheerleader, but she's not your go-to when you need a shoulder to cry on—she believes that sadness is a choice, and so has no sympathy for Debbie Downers. It's easy to see how she loses friends as quickly as she makes them.
Though airheaded, Oralie is dedicated to her work. She has a surprisingly nasty, kill-'em-with-kindness competitive streak that, when coupled with her occasional stroke of genius, renders her quite the businesswoman. Her boundless energy allows her to tackle every challenge without zeal. Fearless though she seems, she does have a terrible phobia of failure that follows her in everything she does, but it's suppressed so deep she doesn't even know she has it.
"A Lister always delivers!"
So goes the motto of Lister Delivery, the local family business of the extensive Lister faerie clan, based in Caeluma. These days, however, business has been flagging. Competition is cutthroat and people are subscribing to bigger, better messenger services. Not to mention that many of the new generation of Listers have no interest in the business—they're off becoming doctors, engineers, shopkeepers, adventurers, what have you.
Responsibility has fallen upon the shoulders of young Oralie, the only Lister willing to keep the business running. She has lived a rather peaceful, ordinary life until now and is inexperienced in the art of delivery, but she compensates for that with grand plans and a whole lot of pep. With the rise of adventuring, she's hoping to specialize in risky, even life-endangering deliveries.
