Mia has the blood of a dragon flowing through her family veins. Sure this leads to a few awkward questions but it has it's benefits. In her case she can have a bestial temper when provoked, slit pupils, and can form draconic traits under the right conditions.
Appearance | ||
Height: 6'1 (185 cm) | Build: Broad Yet Feminine. Muscular. A tall girl, at least compared to humans, Mia is easily described as 'intimidating' to some from that alone, as if her muscles didn't add to the package. Her strong arms and hard stomache usually on display, both to show off and generally cause it's just more comfortable. Her long blonde hair is usually a little unruly but in a stylish manner. She doesn't let it get tangled but it's certainly not straight. She likes to literally compare it to a 'shaggy mane', not naturally curly, straight, or a downright mess, just not quite perfect either. While she can sometimes cut it short she'll more often keep it long, and periods where she wears it short are themselves 'cut short' by the aid of hair-lengthening magics. Working outside a lot she has a small tan but nothing extreme, just a faint bit more color to her skin than the average person. Her freckles dotted around her upper cheeks beneath her eyes are still clearly visible though an easy to overlook aspect of her features. She typically has warm yet vibrant purple eyes, but depending on her state this can shift to a reddish shade with a golden hue to them. From her lifestyle Mia naturally has a few lesser scars. Most of them are barely noticeable, but her skin is naturally a little more coarse than most from her hard work. Not as rough as sandpaper or the like, but a handshake from her is at least faintly different from the feel of her skin alone, ignoring the firm death grip she'd likely have on your palm from over-enthusiasm. Her style of attire can range from relaxed and minimalist to a little 'bombastic' to say the least. In her down time a tank top and shorts would be enough to keep her comfortable, and heck anything more would be downright uncomfortable. When out on an adventure this can certainly still suffice, but its equally likely to find her in a trench coat, long boots, and generally more flashy yet still rugged attire. Its unclear if she thinks she looks badass or if its genuinely more comfortable for her.
Personality | ||
Mia's strongest personality trait in her Native state is readily seen in the presence of her family. While Mia is very much an independant person, liking to get crap sorted on her own, she grew up in a very close knit family, to the point it may, ina good way, be easier to notice her as a friend amongst her family than simply bound to them by blood. In fact, where anyne to mention the importance of a blood connection to her, she'd be dismissive. Her family could wrong her, and blood woudldn't matter. Its the fact she *Knows* they'd never wrong her to begin with that matters. As far as striking it alone though, as stated Mia is very independant. She can work along others but will always wanna shine amongst them. She has an ego above all else and one she will not deny. She loves to be the star of the show in an adventuring party.or even on her lonesome, regardless of eyes watching her. Something she's more likely to do alone however is give into her rage. A bubbling fire under the surface, but somethings he channels into hype and glee around others, can more oft than not unleash a bit more naturally without eyes to observe her. Regardless of her love for adventuring and fighting, she's naturally an upbeat person, and wants to support those she considers friends, even if she's terrible at it. She recognizes she can't handle sensitive topics well and will more often take the 'get over it' approach, as it works for her, but knows and understands why it can't work for others, so while she may always try, if someone tells her it isn't for them, she won't push the matter far. Maybe just a gentle single nudge further just incase it works.
History | ||
Growing up in Ardura, Mia didn't exactly go against the local crowd when it came to her development. In fact, its arguable she stook to it more than any other member of her family. As a young hatchling of her human father and mother dragon, Mia was not the first of her siblings, but certainly the most active even from the moment of her origin. Her parents tell her stories of a tiny set of legs jutting out of her shell and running about long before she was meant to even be close to hatching. Not that it was an exact science given the mechanics involved, but all the same her parents found it enough of a story to tell it time and time again. While her older sister gained a set of wings and horns, and her brother a set of spinal spikes, Mia took a stronger balance of her parents traits. For a long while, even after her younger brother showed signs of his spikes, Mia had little from her mother other than a shifting eye tone and shape depending on her mood, but growing further, she realized she was perhaps the most like her mother. Where her mother the dragon could take a delicate human form, Mia could develop traits of a dragon. A skill she has yet to truly master, but is growing better and better at with each fight. Her tail can still trip her up, literally and figuratively, but hey luckily she dosn't always have to have one like her brother!~ Growing up as a half dragon In a land like Ardura was nothing but a benefit. Sure, there were a rare view who took a racist view to her heritage, those who view dragons as more raging, mindless monsters, but that just gave Mia more of an excuse to, in the worst possible way for them, prove them right. Her mother, as a dragon or a human, was an amazing woman, person, creature, what have you, and she'd never take a bad word about her. As years went on and she followed mostly in her father's footsteps, putting her immense strength to use in the mines he worked, it was with the more recent burst of outsiders that Mia found a new calling. Hordes of heroes and villains alike supposedly from other realms, one after the other, pulling new tricks out of their bags. With many little tricks of her own...okay. One trick. Punching shit. She nonetheless wanted to see what these outsiders had, and followed in the footsteps of many of them. While she still works the mines on trips home, she's more an adventurer these days, leaving her pickaxe behind for the more visceral strike of her fist. |
